Topic 1: Design for Safety: How DfS can benefit all stakeholders? (Presentation NA due to Confidential Information)
Synopsis: This session will cover the requirements of design for safety (DfS) under the Singapore’s WSH (Design for Safety) Regulations and provide operational perspectives how these DfS features are to be maintained. Session also provide insights into the implementation workflow of DfS in the construction phase, leading to the building’s operational phase.
Speaker Profile: Mr Jason Oh
Jason has 25 years of Project Engineering Design, Construction and Management experience. He is the Principal Consultant of JOH Safety Consultancy Pte Ltd (www.johsafetyconsultancy.com). He started as Engineer, Project Manager, Safety Officer/ Manager, Civil & Structural Designer and Design for Safety Professional. The projects ranged from infra-structures, heavy industry, chemical warehouse, process plant, School, Hotel, Private and Public Residential housing projects.
Topic 2: Managing Fire Safety: An Oil & Gas Sharing
Synopsis: This session will present the findings of common fire safety issues in oil and gas industries and provide insights into how these issues are resolved and managed. Session also covers how Oil and Gas sector can improve on fire safety performance and how this complement the Total WSH Movement, aligning to WSH 2028 Objectives.
Speaker Profile: Er Rio Ng Kok Leong
Rio is a professional engineer by practice and a certified fire safety engineer, providing fire safety related inspection for new, and addition and alteration projects. He provides M&E consultancy services to Mechanical Services such as Plumbing, Sanitary, ACMV, LPG and Fire (prescriptive-based); and Fire Safety Engineering (performance-based) Design.
