Speaker Profile: Mr FONG Chee Thong
Fong brings over 25 years of extensive experience in health, safety and environment (HSE) management across the Asia Pacific and Middle east regions. His expertise spans a diverse array of industries including building & civil infrastructure, thermal & renewable energy, manufacturing, oil & gas, shipbuilding, and ship repair.
Presently, Fong serves as Head of HSE at Chip Eng Seng Construction Pte Ltd., a multinational conglomerate with a diverse portfolio in construction, civil infrastructure, precast technology, property development and investment, hospitality, and education. Previously, Fong worked for Sembcorp Industries Ltd, Foster Wheeler Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd., GE Vetco Gray and Keppel Shipyard. He oversees the development and implementing of HSE framework, integrated management systems, ISO certifications, and Behavioural Based Safety (BBS) programs, with a proven track record of leading successful and award-winning projects.
Fong holds a Master of Science in Safety, Health & Environmental Technology from the National University of Singapore and a Bachelor of Engineering from the same institution.
Topic 2: Enhancing Safety Management with Artificial Intelligence Computer Vision Video Analytics. – Link
Across multiple industries health and safety is of paramount importance, this is especially true when machinery and people come into close proximity. During this workshop I will share examples of AI Computer Vision Video Analytics and how this technology can be used with legacy CCTV infrastructure to provide robust health & safety solutions in hazardous environments. This will include a review of the technology and the approach taken to deliver a reliable solution for the End User.
Speaker Profile: Mr Christopher BISHOP
Chris is the MD for Ipsotek APAC and is based in Singapore. He has more than twenty years’ experience in the security and surveillance solutions sector with a track record of growing business across the APJ region in CNI, Transportation, Healthcare, Energy & Utilities, and Smart Cities. Throughout his career, he has worked for some of the world’s leading innovators who have created revolutionary technology. British company Quantel changed the television and post-production industry with the infamous Paintbox, American company Silicon Graphics (SGI) made the impossible – possible with its computer graphics systems and British company QinetiQ repurposed de-classified defense technology to save lives. His experience and contribution with these and other companies has shaped his career through to his current role as a director and senior manager. He has authored and had published numerous articles covering a wide range of topics including one entitled “The Era of Intelligent Infrastructure” in the August 2022 edition of the International Security Journal, which focused on what it takes to build a successful Smart City like Singapore. Prior to moving to Singapore, he trained and participated in the Everest of canoe races, the Devizes to Westminster, affectionately known as the “DW” which consists of 125 miles of paddling with seventy-seven portages (locks and low bridges) in aid of Alzheimer’s Research UK.
