Mr.Gopalakrishnan is the production manager in a leading coating manufacturing company in Singapore, graduated in chemical technology, MEng in engineering & technology management and MSc in SHE (process safety). He has more than 22 years of working experience in various chemical process industries at different levels which includes process unit operation, process engineering, commissioning etc.
Topic 2: Introduction to Water Based Suppression Systems
The presentation will cover the various common water based systems such as Wet, Dry, Deluge & Preaction. Then next section talks about the application of sprinklers in Warehouses whereby the design considerations and the types of sprinklers used will be covered.

Mr. Y.C. Pang is the Chief Operating Officer, Far East for The Viking Corporation based in Singapore. He is responsible for the Operations, Product Management and Technical Services for the Asia Region for the entire fire suppression portfolio of the organization.
With more than with 30 years of experience in fire protection industry, YC has been involved in many technical, engineering and commercial roles throughout his career and has comprehensive experience in system design, testing, commissioning, project management of various fire protection systems to protect buildings, structures and facilities in a wide array of commercial, industrial and government projects.
He is well versed in a variety of Codes and Standards both internationally as well as regionally such as Singapore Standard CP52, NFPA 13, Factory Mutual Data Sheets and etc. As such, YC regularly conducts seminars and trainings to fire protection professions such as engineers, consultants, end users and insurance companies in Asia. Combined with his vast hands-on experience, he regularly provides advice and recommendations to various stakeholders in the fire protection industry on appropriate and effective fire protection solutions to meet the challenges posed by the project.
